Team Story
Tipping Point Corporation is an industry leader in training, media, and event services. Founded in 2011 by Rick Schmidt, following a 20 year career in the United States Navy, the company has demonstrated consistent growth, currently staffing 90 full time employees and over 20 independent contractors and earning a position on the INC5000 list for the past five years. In 2020, TPC acquired Worker Studio, LLC, combining the companies’ capabilities with TPC Media to form Tipping Point Media & Entertainment. The goal of this merger was to position the company to embark in the production of original media products supporting streaming platforms. In 2021, TPC acquired a new corporate facility in Colorado where it is building a state-of-the-art virtual production capability. Over the past two years, TPC has made heavy advancements in the development of Software solutions supporting its training development services. These advancements, along with our strong media capabilities, are demonstrating our ability to offer clients higher quality products, more rapidly and without increase to costs.

Rick Schmidt
President & CEO
Following a career as a Naval Information Warfare Officer, Rick has built a distinguished career as a creative visionary and highly successful business operator, earning the recognition as the 2019 SBA Colorado Small Business Person of the Year. During his time in industry, Rick has become a recognized expert in blending rich media with interactive training technologies.
Jim Threlfall
Vice President & Director of Mission Support Services
Jim has more than 38 years of progressive managerial, educational, and financial supporting operational requirements from industry and the U.S. Government. His specialty areas include: implementing training systems and programs; curriculum development; instructional strategies; instructional technology; traditional through electronic-based training; gaming and immersive environments; mixed/virtual/augmented reality; and research analysis.
Chrissy Lefler
Director of Operations and Meetings & Events
With more than two decades of project, meeting and event management experience Chrissy has served diverse clientele in corporate, nonprofit and government sectors. In 2021 Chrissy was selected Outstanding Woman in Business by the Denver Business Journal. Her professional focus is fostering collaborative partnerships and equipping her team to exceed expectations.
Michael “Ffish” Hemschoot
Director of Media & Entertainment
Michael “Ffish” Hemschoot is a media executive and former small business owner with nearly 30 years of experience in the entertainment and training industries. He is an award-winning creative whose work has been seen in some of the top Hollywood films, commercials, and industrials of the past three decades.
Frank Bush
Director of Training & Education
Frank Bush is a pragmatic problem solver with over 25 years of experience in designing and developing training courses and educational materials for companies such as Mine Safety Appliances (MSA) and Boeing. His focus is to create engaging experiences that simplify the complex using the most efficient and effective methods.
